Makaraba Match

Since we're no stranger in the world of Fashion, people often come to us and ask us to design a piece of clothing. This time Sander van Bussel asked us to make a special hat,..a Makaraba to be precise. A Makaraba is a hand-cut and hand painted hard hat. It belongs to the typical South African football fan's supporters gear.
This was the one we made. We named it: Phallus Invictus and it was slightly larger than the rest. Click here for the making of.
At Festival Mundial 2010 other Makaraba's made by Peter Pontiac, Jeroen de Leijer, Sander van Bussel and South African artists were auctioned for charity. The exhibition however will be during the World Cup 2010 at the VVV in Tilburg.
